Mitchell's 65th Annual Persimmon Festival has become a southern Indiana tradition which commemorates this indigenous signature fruit in delicious puddings, desserts and ice cream. The exhibits, stage entertainment, pioneer village tour and parade brings out visitors from all over the area.
