Michigantown Community Fair  August 1 & 2, 2008

The Michigantown Community Fair, sponsored by the Michigantown Lions Club is held the first Friday and Saturday in August.  The Fair begins Friday evening with the hatting of the town’s “Old Grouch”, who serves as the Grand Marshall of Saturday’s parade.  We also offer meals served by various local not-for profit organizations; Saturday’s sausage and pancake breakfast is prepared by the Michigantown Lions Club and Saturday evening’s meal features Dan’s Famous Fish Fry served by the Community Cub.  Events include: drawings, kid’s games, water ball competition, live entertainment, car show, antique tractor show and a Little Princess Contest.

Fourth Street Festival

The Fourth Street Festival is recognized as one of the top art festivals in the country.  Every Labor Day weekend, artists and artisans come to display and sell their unique original creations in a beautiful urban setting.  An Art Zone for children and a musical entertainment area provide for 2 days of family enjoyment.  The event is located at 4th and Grant in downtown Bloomington.  Come celebrate with us.

National Aeromodeling Championships Through August 5, 2007
 Muncie, Indiana
This marks the 11th year in which outdoor events have been held at the International Aeromodeling Center at the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) in Muncie.  Competitors fly from sites that are dedicated solely to model aviation.  The Nats is made up of 105 official events, and contestants represent all 50 states and several foreign countries.  Food vendors, National Model Aviation museum and the Cloud 9 Museum store are all on-site.  Free admission to watch the aeronautics!  CONTACT INFO: Amy Wilson; amyw@modelaircraft.org;

Schneider Centennial Fest August 24-26, 2007
Schneider, Indiana
The town of Schneider will be celebration it’s 100th Birthday and the Schneider Fire Department's 80th Birthday on August 24-26.  Planned events include a Fish Fry Dinner on Friday night with Historical pictures, stories and class reunion for all classes of the former Schneider School.  The Carnival will also begin on Friday night.  Saturday, August 25 the Fire Department will hold a motorcycle observation run and hog roast.  Craft vendors and carnival will also continue.  Sunday, August 26 the carnival and crafter vendors will continue and there will be a car show.  The Beer Garden will be open all three days for ages 21 years and older.
