Med Flory Jazz and Blues Festival

Dance the time away to America’s great music!  Meet Logansport’s own Med Flory, television/movie actor, screenwriter and Grammy winning jazz musician.  Eleven bands play this three-session events.  Entire festival is under tents; rain or shine the fun goes on! Flory plays both nights from 8:00 – 10:00 pm.  See complete line up and order tickets online.  Sponsored by the Cass County Community Foundation and the Cass County Visitors Bureau.  Another Arts Experience brought to you by the Cass County Arts Alliance.

The 46th annual Dogwood Tour will be held in various locations through Perry County.  Come view the dogwoods in bloom as you tour Cannelton Leopold, Rome, Tell City, Troy and Bristow for food, arts and crafts and entertainment.  Free admission.

Collectors Carnival Antique & Flea Market in Evansville, IN is held at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Fairgrounds.  This spring show features over 250 vendors in 8 different buildings and outside selling something for everyone – antiques & collectibles, arts & crafts, clothing, jewelry, tools, toys, sports items and specialty foods.  Tour buses welcome.  Free parking and handicapped parking is available.

Sassafras Tea Festival & Civil War Living History

In Historic Vernon, Indiana we will have a huge Civil War Reenactment, Major General Lew Wallace & Headquarters, working blacksmith shop, Blue/Gray Ball, mock battles, skits and sutlers.  There will be home-cooked hot meals and hundreds of fresh pies and sweet breads including free sassafras tea and cookies.  This event is sponsored by the Jennings County Historical Society and all proceeds are used to support the Historical Society’s museum and preserve our county’s rich history.

Named for the Redbud trees, this pre-1840 Living History event is held on the banks of the Tippecanoe River 4 miles north of Rochester, Indiana on US 31 & CR 375 N.  Foods cooked over wood fires, programs on stage, traditional crafts demonstrations and historic vendors selling wares. 
Hours: Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm; Sunday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm; Adults $3.00, children 6-11 $1.00, 5 and under free.

16th annual Bridgeton Mountain Man Rendezvous April 25 - 26, 2009
Bridgeton, Indiana
Tour encampments representing the early 1800's living.  Activities include trading posts, canoe race, muzzle loader, tomahawk and knife throwing contests, cookin' in the Cabin, food.
