In Historic Vernon, Indiana we will have a huge Civil War Reenactment, Major
General Lew Wallace & Headquarters, working blacksmith shop, Blue/Gray Ball,
mock battles, skits and sutlers. There will be home-cooked hot meals and
hundreds of fresh pies and sweet breads including free sassafras tea and
cookies. This event is sponsored by the Jennings County Historical Society
and all proceeds are used to support the Historical Society’s museum and
preserve our county’s rich history.

the banks of the Tippecanoe River 4 miles north of Rochester, Indiana on US
